Gulf Low Moving Inland...

At daybreak, the Gulf Low has accerlerated northward and is nearing Dauphine Island on the south end of Mobile Bay. This movement has taken the rain shield away from us. This weekend should not be as bad as originally forecasted and we should only see some typical daytime heating shower & T-Storms. Enjoy your Weekend!

Thanks ONLYREAL...Caveman obviously didn't watch Friday's programs. He's quick to point out when VIPIR is not correct. It was the only model that predicted the center going east of BIX with the result being mainly dry here on Saturday. I even made mention of the cancellation of the outdoor concert on the Mandeville lakefront being the "kiss of death" to the rainy forecasts painted by all the other models. VIPIR was the ONLY model that kept us dry on Saturday. It may not be always right, but this time it "nailed this forecast..."

Never said anything about VIPIR, but what did VIPIR say 48hrs out? And if VIPIR was correct is was a computer that made the forecast, so kudos should go to the programmers.
