4th Warmest May or 15th Coldest?

NOAA came out with another alarmist report yeaterday about climate change 50-100 years from now. I really think the public is getting sick of the government scientists crying wolf with statistics that can't be verified even in the short term. Case in point...NOAA says May globally was the 4th warmest in the past 130 years. Problem with that is their data base was reduced by almost 2/3 of reporting sites (mostly rural) since 1978. NASA (another government agency) says May was the 15 coldest in the past 31 years of satellite based temperature sensoring. Geez, they can't even agree with each other yet Congress is going to pass laws (new taxes) to force us to live like the Government says we should live. Scary stuff happening. Check ICECAP.US for some detailed explaination regarding the above.

Weatherwise, boring...Dry with near record heat thru the weekend. Upper ridge may begin pulling away to our west by the middle of next week? That could allow some daytime heating showers by Tuesday & Wednesday.

You would think since they have been ding this GW doomsday stuff for 10 years now that they would be adjusting their time scale to 40-90 years instead of 50-100 years since they like to use the year 2100 so much.

And whats the point of more taxes? Especially something ridiculous like GW Taxes. And what is the point of it? The Government is already in a hole that they can't escape as far as their climbing debt is concerned...

They are just crazy Bob.

I thought May was quite enjoyable and relatively a cool month for us as compared to past years. But we are making up for it in June. It will be nice to see some afternoon showers start popping up next week.

Yes I don't see where raising taxes is going to solve anything, except make the cost of living that much tougher. Why does the government think they can save the earth by throwimg more money at it...and that to say even if anything is wrong with the earth???

Last I checked it was June and the earth is right on schedule with the Summer Solitice....We didn't see any hurricanes in February in the Gulf!... and what do you know we saw snow here in December, when its supposed to snow...so to me the earth is acting pretty much normal.

I was a little ticked around the first of the month when I looked at Water Bill for Jeff Parish and saw that our State passed some type of "Clean Water Act" fee...please, yet another tax....I had to look twice because I thought it was the sales tax on water, which the state got rid of with the so called Stelly Plan...and yes that was another tax...

Oh let me get the beach towels, I'm going swimming
