Fronts Finally Coming Again !!!

After being spoiled by 3 August "cold" fronts, September so far has been a dud...at least for the first 24 days. There are signs that the stalled upper pattern that has prevented any fronts from reaching us the past 3 1/2 weeks is changing. The cut off low over Colorado will lift to the NE allowing for the east coast trough to develop again. No it won't be a deep trough that would bring us sweater weather, but we should see the first front arrive before dawn on Sunday with some drier air followed by a stronger front late Monday that will get night temps back into the 60s. So for another 2 days we'll still feel summer-like with a few showers late Friday and a better chance for some storms Saturday afternoon & night. Relief is on the way, but it'll be a slow process.

The tropics remain quiet. 6 days until October !!!

Seems to me... this "front" pattern is somewhat normal...the only difference instead of getting an early September front, we got August fronts....and it seems after that first early front, it usually takes another 3 weeks or so before the next front arrives....

So September being a dud for cold fronts doesnt surprise me...but I have to admit...I have been itching for a cold front...so bring them on down Bob...

Have a great weekend and Gooooo Saints
