Snow Close...but No Cigar.

We briefly got into the real cold air, but it appears the main threat for frozen precipitation is goona stay to our north and west thru Friday. Oh ,we could see some sleet at times over night into early Thursday, but temps should remain above freezing except north and west. This afternoon's VIPIR run brings the Gulf Low very close to the mouth of the River by early Friday morning. That should mean some warmer air(60 along coast,40s SS) will surge near us keeping the Wintry Weather west of BTR & LAF. So all you "snow freaks", it should not happen this time, but don't despair...another cold blast is coming for next week ! Another update later tonight.

Obviously, two things around here get people "excited" when it comes to weather. Hurricanes and snow. I think we all would rather see the second one by a landslide. But without the cold? Wishful thinking, lol..... Hopefully it works out for everyone, and we get to see some. Be careful on the roads tomorrow everyone, especially on the N.S.
