Fat Tuesday Looks Semi-Wet...

Another fast moving upper disturbance out over the Rockies will drag a warm front out of the Gulf triggering some showers here just in time for the Mardi Gras parades. Most computer models (including VIPIR) have some showers around after daybreak with showers increasing during the afternoon hours. As the upper system gets closer, we will have a threat for some severe storms after dark into Wednesday morning. VIPIR once again is the faster of the models getting the rain to end before noon while the GFS and RPM keep some rain around til near dark on Wednesday.

So going to any parades, take some rain gear but be careful with umbrellas as winds will gust above 25 mph. Temps will be warm (75-80). Have a safe and Happy Mardi Gras.

Didn't Barron Services in Huntsville, AL develop VIPIR?

Rain stayed long enough, though I did see one umbrella careening down Napoleon :)
