Spring-like All Week...

Meteorological Spring began March 1st, but the astronomical Spring officiall begins at 6:21 PM this Sunday. Tonight's weak front will bring slightly cooler air for Tues-Wed, but the rest of the week will be flirting with 80 degrees. Based on the current long range models, it appears you're save to go plant those tomatoes and other tender vegetation. We can get a rare April frost, but that does not appear likely this year.

A lot of concern has developed over the Japanese Nuclear plant and the release of radiation. Dr. Master's pointed out on his blog tonight that the radiation from Chernobyl spread less than 1,000 miles. At this point, unless the situation worsens, it's not likely that any radiation of consequence will reach the U.S. Stay tuned.
