A Very Close Call...

While computer models (including VIPIR) were correct in developing some showers shortly after daybreak, none of them picked up on the very heavy rains (3-5"+ in less than 2 hrs) that fell just to our north and west. Tonight's VIPIR run is bringing more heavy rains to the North Shore before daybreak and then to the South Shore during morning drive. NWS is saying there is the potential for another 3-5 " before the front arrives around midday. Behind this front is cooler and drier air that will make for several nice days, if you are dressed for them. Wednesday's highs will be in the 70s but morning lows will dip to the 40s for Thursday-Saturday morning. Plenty of sunshine will make for comfy cool (65-70) afternoon. I don't see any more rain until sometime next week.
