Another Stormy Night...

Looking at the radar tonight, I'll be amazed if we get through without having a major loss of life over a widespread area from Texas to Ohio. The VIPIR lightning counter topped 13,000 strokes during one 5 minute span as a strong upper disturbance is triggering clusters of severe storms. Model runs tonight show little rain will fall over SE LA/MS with most of the severe weather staying well to our north. Hopefully Mother Nature will settle down after this system passes as we have shattered the April all time tornado record(267 in 1974) with at least 400+, perhaps even 500+ after tonight.

Cooler and drier air will make it feel great here on Thursday and Friday before the muggies return for Saturday and Sunday. With a mostly dry weekend forecast, it should be a great start for JazzFest and the Zurich Golf Classic.
