Looking for 1st 90

May 2010 recorded 13 days 90 or above. This May so far has had none. We have 13 days left in the month so it will be difficult to reach last May's number. As high pressure moves to our east SE winds are bringing back the Gulf muggies along with warmer temperatures. Highs will get into the mid-upper 80s on Thursday & near 90 as soon as Friday. Those temps will continue thru the weekend into next week until a weak front approaches late Wed-Thursday. Rain chances will stay low until that front gets closer.

NOAA will release their 2011 Hurricane prediction on Thursday. Penn State released their predictions (12-20 storms) yesterday. Any guess that NOAA will be any different than Dr. Gray's (17) or Penn State? I doubt it. They'll give a huge range like Penn St. At least Dr. Gray's team gives a much smaller range. Have you voted yet?

I just don't get it with you and these hurricane forecasts... They are simply long range forecasts that yes are adjusted as the season moves much like you and others make on your own weekly forecasts and adjust them as the week goes by. They are a learning tool...

If they are wrong you have something to say bad, if they are close you have something to say bad, and if they nail the forecasts then you really have something bad to say... funny.
