1st Hurricane...but He's in the Pacific...

The 1st named storm (Adrian) in the Eastern Pacific has reached hurricane strength (75 mph) tonight. The Atlantic Basin continues to be quiet with no signs of development expected for the next 3-5 days. A large upper low is over the Gulf and several disturbances are rotating around it. Coupled with daytime heating, these disturbances trigger much needed rainfall. Unfortunately, they have been accompanied by some hail & gusty winds, typical for summer T-Storms. Remember, lightning is a killer and "when thunder roars, move indoors".

Models show the upper low in the Gulf will pull to our east putting us on the drier side of that system. Fewer showers over the weekend will result in hotter (95-100) temps. Does anyone need a cold drink? Or perhaps a snowball?
