Major Pattern Change Coming...

The same weather pattern that has been pounding the central plains and Ohio Valley down into the Carolinas & Georgia with drenching rain/wind storms for weeks and, at the same time keeping us hot & dry, is finally gonna change this week. It appears the upper high will weaken allowing the surface Atlantic ridge/Bermuda high to build across us to our north. This will result in deeper tropical moisture flowing in from the SSE and, coupled with daytime heating, should produce widespead showers and T-Storms every day beginning as soon as Tuesday. In addition, more clouds and showers should make us less hot. Relief is on our way & it's about time.

The tropics remain very quiet as wind shear is too strong for anything to start developing.

Summer is brutal, every year...I read the blog and the comments here and you guys complain in the winter, for that matter any temp that is below 70, and then complain in the summer due to the heat!!!! You guys say, I can't wait until summer, ooh how wonderful summer will be, then say that is is too hot. Make up your minds!! Enjoy the cool air, it is rarely unbearable, and never lasts that long anyway. Things smell good without the heat and the crime rate is lower because people aren't on edge and aggravated due to being so hot.. I'm not saying to enjoy freezes or snow, but when the air is crisp, it feels good!!!

Give me wintertime ANYtime.

I love the warmth of the sun. You can keep your winters, that's why I live on the Coast.

Well, with the winters comes the threat of foggy days and icy roads. With the summer comes the threat of hurricanes. With spring, tornados and so on and so on. The rain will be a welcome relief as will the clouds. I am sure everyone would like a "break" on their Entergy bills! Let's just hope the carribean and gulf continue to stay quiet.
