Our current streak of record breaking/tying heat is likely to continue for the next 5 days as an upper ridge drifts across us limiting our shower chances to near zero. By Wednesday and especially by Thursday, rain chances will dramatically increase as an upper trough develops over the western and central Gulf. That will allow deep tropical moisture to stream in over us creating more clouds & showers that should make us less hot. Yippee! That wet pattern should last for 3-4 days or longer hopefully putting a dent in our yearly rainfall deficit that is approaching nearly a foot.
The tropics continue to show no signs of life.
