Boring is Good...

Unless we have some kind of tropical disturbance come our way, our daily weather changes are subtle...different locations and/or different timing. It will rain every day somewhere. Figure 20-50% coverage, higher if we have an upper disturbance around to enhance daytime heating. Sound boring? Yea but it beats the alternative of tracking tropical storms and hurricanes. So far we are ahead of last year's numbers(3 to 2) where 2010 eventually ended up with 19 named storms. With the current trend of east coast troughs backing the Bermuda High well off the east coast, if storms do start forming from Africa, they should make the turn to the north well east of Florida keeping us safe. Stay tuned. Boring is good!

Does Invest 90L mean anything to you?

Remember most of those 19 named storms had data fudged by NHC so they would hit their forecast.

If Bob has been paying attention to anything, the upper level ridge has shifted to the East Coast. Therefore, there is no longer a trough protecting the US. Misleading the public again...

I'm never surprised by what bloggers put on the internet since they don't have to identify themselves. "90L mean anything to me?" No "...most of those 19 storms...fudged..." No, but perhaps 3 or 4. "Upper ridge shifted...no longer trough..." True but ridge has flatten and weakened and will shift back to the west as another east coast trough brings relief from the heat to the NE. Our next tropical threat will come the 1st week in August as another stronger trough will bring a cold front down to the Gulf Coast. We are protected by WIND SHEAR over Gulf and Caribbean. Enjoy your weekend!

Bob reminds us regularly about the wind shear that is helping to protect us for the time being.
What part of "there is wind shear over the Gulf and Caribbean" that you dont understand? Some of you seem to be wishing for the worse to happen to us and are always looking on the bleak side.
Can't we just trust in Bobs expertise and long time experience with this?
If you want negative weather broadcasting just check out some of the other tv stations.
Bob, keep up the excellent work, and thank you!!

I think the problem many have is that all Bob does is attempt to put down anyone else that deals with weather in anyway. That gets old quick.

Bob does not attempt to put down anyone else that deals with weather in anyway, that is not true at all and if that's what you think he is doing either you:

A) don't follow his blog because quite often he talks about other weathermen that he respects

B) you are a troll who should'nt even be here in the first place...right?
