Bret Likely to Form East of Florida...

As I mentioned last week, we were in a pattern that had a deep coast trough bring cold front after cold front down into the Deep South. Sometimes along these dying fronts, small areas of low pressure develop and can tunr into tropical storms and hurricanes. Such a swirl has formed along an old cold front and was classified as a depression late this afternoon. If he keeps organizing, it will be named Trop. Storm Bret in the morning. The good news is this system is well east of Florida and should drift out to sea in the next 2-3 days. The upper flow over the Gulf remains one of strong NE wind shear so we don't need worry about Bret. In fact, the upper ridge to our NW will build back over us bringing back a heat wave for much of the week.

I realize we are having some issues with our graphics animating. We should have this corrected in the next 1-2 days. thanks for your patience.

Actually you said to watch for a depression to from in the Gulf like it did back in 1983 which moved across to Houston and for us to be on alert. If I am not mistaken Bret is in the Atlantic right? Are you really that Caveman guy?
