Hottest Stretch Of The Year...

Historically we will leave the hottest time of the year (July 29-Aug. 7th) and should start to see a gradual decrease in temperatures as we head towards September. Usually it's not noticeable until the 2nd or 3rd week or later. During the next 4-5 days you'll be wishing Late Sept-early Oct. would be here as another heat wave is coming. Highs will be 95-100 with the heat index between 105-115, in the dangerous range. Any outdoor activity should be limited and you'll need to drink lots of water.

There is a strong wave that has moved out into the Atlantic off of Africa that has some spin to it. This could become our next named storm (Franklin) although none of the computer models develop it. Stay tuned!

Bob, what do you think about the "Cold Front" that is headed south this weekend and into Monday? Curious to know what you think it will do.
