Near Record Warmth Coming...

Just after having record setting record lows over most of the North Shore early this week, this weekend could challenge some record highs.   The last week in April sees record highs between 88-91 and we'll be in that neighborhood every day beginning on Friday. With the PGA golf tourney, the Jazz Fest & Kid's Zoo-To-Do this weekend, the weather should cooperate as no rain is expected before the middle of next week. Since I expect no more rain this month, April 2012 will finish as the 9th wettest (out of 66) at MSY.  As we transition into El Nino conditions over the summer, it will be interesting to see if the terrible Texas drought of 2011 (that spilled into LA.) will return, or will we see more daily rainstorms across the Gulf South?  Stay tuned!
