Wettest July?

Finally it rained in Kenner and we now have the opportunity, with 9 days left, to become the wettest July on record.   1991 had 13.15" making it #1, but our current 10.62" places us as the 7th wettest with plenty of time to reach the record.  In fact, a tropical wave has pushed into the eastern Gulf and should enhance our shower chances for Tuesday.  I don't know about you, but the benefit of this being a wet Summer can be seen in our energy bills.   My June Entergy bill was 30% less than last year when we were having the hottest summer ever.   I say, keep the daily showers coming as the benefits outweigh the inconvience.
