Helene Staging Comeback?

This afternoon's satellite loops show there is a circulation off the Mexican coast well SE of Brownsville.  With a cold front sliding southward into the Gulf & the MJO going into the favorable(rising air) mode, we need to pay attention for any development along that frontal boundary the next 2-3 days.  Back in 1983 Alicia formed south of our coast after an August cold front moved through.  All the ingredients are there so stay focused on the northern Gulf, not out in the Atlantic.  Models continue to develop the system about halfway between the islands & Africa.  It will most likely become Issac in the next 24 hours, but it is so far away that I'd rather focus nearer home.

Today's rains, though not as heavy as feared, did keep our temps mainly in the 70s.  Without sunshine this weekend, I know I'm starting to feel tired & listless...no energy.  Hopefully some sun returns on Monday.
