And this is December?

After seeing below freezing temps last week on the North Shore, this week we're back in Spring-like weather ...and we don't start Winter until the 21st.  What's happened?   Basically the East Coast trough has retreated back northward taking the cold air with it.  Most models don't bring back real cold air to the Gulf South until sometime after the 15th, but it appears the warmth of early December will be replaced with some very frigid air for much of the nation, including us just in time for the holidays.  I have seen some Decembers start cold and snowy followed by a January thaw.  This year is starting mild/warm and mostly dry.  Gotta turn cold first to have a January thaw.  Do we have 2 straight "non-Winters"?   I think in the next 2 weeks we'll see a dramatic cooldown so my answer is no.   What say you?

This December is reminding me a lot of last December, it was cold the end of November and maybe the first week or so of December, then just mild weather from then on out.

Looking at your forecast tonight Bob there doesnt seem to be any cold air in sight...like last year all bundled up, up north...

Cold weather is a must in December...make it feel like the season and I believe people shop more when its cold...

Hopefully that east coast trough will set up soon and bring down some seasonal air....
