Cold Coming for Weekend...

The coldest air of this Winter season will arrive after midnight on Friday bringing us back to the reality that it's still February.  Friday will be a delightful day with plenty of sunshine and temps 60-65.  Saturday will start in the low 40s with brisk north winds and highs will struggle to get back into the low to mid 50s.  A light freeze (27-31) is likely on Sunday morning for the North Shore with near freezing (33-37) on the South Shore.  The cold won't linger as a warm up begins Sunday PM lasting until another weak front arrives Tuesday morning.   After this brief visit of Arctic Air, next week will be much milder as the real cold shifts back to the west coast.  Models are suggesting another major snow storm will develop late week and this one could bury Chicago!  Stay tuned!

A thank you to everyone who has me in their prayers!

ok bob, I'm confused... the 00z GFS tonight puts 1/2" snow down to I-12 corridor with around 1" by the Feliciana Parishes by Early Saturday Morning... BUT it's also predicting temps only in the 37-40 degree range at that time... ?? wouldn't that mean whatever snow is falling will melt before or right after it hits the ground? ...just wondering why twisterdata.com is showing snow accumulations on this model run... oh and by the way you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time in your Life - Don't worry, I know that the Big Guy upstairs has got his hands on you ;)
