Weekend Parades Mostly Dry...

As we begin the big weekend of parades, the weather should not be an issue.  Saturday will get off to a cool start, but with filtered sunshine thru some clouds we should warm back into the 60s by noon. Endymion at night should be fine but winds will be on the increase and a light jacket will be needed,  Sunday will be windy & warmer with a few stray showers around, but the bulk of any rain should stay well north of Lake P. A cold front will increase rain chances on Monday and that front stalls over us keeping the shower threat around on Mardi Gras. Tonight's VIPIR run develops an area of low pressure to our west on Tuesday morning, takes it to our north during the day keeping the heaviest rains from BTR-MCB-MEI.  We could be breezy & warm (70-75) with late PM Showers turning colder by dark.   Party on!

Epic, Historical, Never seen before?   The Weather Channel needs to get a grip.  Looking at the next 7-10 days, 2-3 more epic, historical storms may be coming for much of the nation followed by the coldest air of this winter.  We could see a freeze here next weekend, even on the South Shore.  Stay tuned!

The Monday morning forecast discussion from NWS mentions slight chance for flurries for northern portions of Florida parishes late Friday/early Saturday :) interesting... could the system deepen a little more and bring a threat of snow flurries to the whole northshore area? :-) maybe so...
