May Flowers Could See Snow Showers?

Yep, while all the Global Warming/Climate Change crowd warns about warming, the current weather pattern that has brought much colder air to most of the lower 48 states will continue into May.   They will be a brief warm up this weekend before a deep upper low parks itself over the SE for most of next week.  That will stall a front over us keeping us wet Sunday into Thursday before a strong chill pushes us offshore bringing back sweaters and jackets for Friday & Saturday morning.   Burr...

In the short term...south winds will continue to deepen the moisture across all of the Gulf Coast and that means we cannot rule out the slight chance for a stray shower on Saturday.  A cold front will approach during the day on Sunday and that should increase rain chances, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.  If the front slows down, the 1st weekend of JazzFest & the Zurich Golf Classic might sqeak thru mostly dry.  If the front speeds up, Sunday could turn into a real soggy, muggy mess at the Fairgrounds & at the TPC course in Avondale.   Let's hope for the front to slow down.   Regardless, enjoy your weekend as I will with my 3 sons visiting me for my anniversary week at FOX 8.
