Severe Storms Should Stay North...

As a powerful late season storm moves out of the Rockies tonight, it is producing a widespread severe weather outbreak from Oklahoma to Michigan.  Many tornado warnings have been issued with more to come Thursday on into Friday.  With the main dynamics (upper level divergence) staying well to our north, I do not think we'll see any severe storms Thursday night.  We could see 1-3" of rainfall and a huge drop in temperatures.  Highs in the mid 80s on Thursday will stay in the 60s on Friday with a brisk north winds requiring jackets & sweaters once again.  The weekend looks terrific with sunshine & comfy cool temps.
