August Arrives...Tropics Quiet

Now that I have entered “the Winter of my Life”, seasons have become more important !  As we begin August, we enter the HEART of the hurricane season that will continue into early October.  My hope this year is the east coast troughs keep coming bringing early September chill down to us and turning any storms east of Florida & out of the Gulf.    The ramp up in activity should begin after August 15th as a huge surge of African dust covers much of the tropical Atlantic right now which should prevent any storm formation.  In addition, water temps have cooled somewhat so I’m thinking the forecasting Gurus will LOWER their numbers when they issue the next update this week.  Stay tuned.

In the short term, another frontal “boundary” will sag into LA/MS tomorrow and that may increase our shower coverage.  Otherwise, it’s basic summertime…hot & humid with spotty mainly PM T-Storms.

Its good to see the tropics should be quiet until the 15th. When August comes around each passing day is one less day of summer and hurricane season...and the further Bob says it should remain quiet is better and all great news....

Of course it only takes one storm and for some reason...Storm like August 29th for our area....so lets just keep our fingers crossed this quiet season continues...

It would be nice to see a September front that normally comes in October to end our season...

Well for now still time to enjoy the pool and look forward to Saints Preseason...definitely a change in the seasons coming...
