Strange July Feeling...

As anyone who has lived in New Orleans for a long time, you know July, August & early September are brutally uncomfortable due to heat & humidity.  So yesterday and today were something special...a break from the muggies & oven.  Morning lows dipped into the 60s on the North Shore but that trend is almost over.   By Tuesday PM we'll start to notice a few spotty showers and, as the humidity increases so will our rain chances.  In fact, with the upper trough retrograding back to our west by Thursday, Mother Nature may put on her own fireworks!   We could see several inches (3-5") of rain fall between Thursday & Saturday night.   By Sunday & Monday, the trough will lift out and be replaced by an upper ridge reducing our rain chances and increasing our temps. back into the low to mid 90s.   So....I hope you have enjoyed this rare July treat?  We're likely not to see it again until September!

I believe you said the same in late May about not seeing the cooler temps until then. You just never know when comes to Mother Nature.

Ive asked this question a few times and cant seem to get an answer... Is there ANYWHERE online we can view the computer models that hint at something forming in the lower, Western Gulf, that everyone was mentioning last week...? Would LOVE to be able to view those computer models, but have NO CLUE WHERE TO FIND EM!

Bob posted this several posts back.

You can view several tropical models at http://moe.met.fsu.edu/tcgengifs.

I'm sure there are other sites too.
