"Fat Lady" is Singing

The old Don Meridith line that the “Fat Lady” is on stage singing ,meaning the game is over,  fits this year’s hurricane season.   With 4 days left in September, any system that does develop in the next 2-3 weeks will be steered well to our south and east leaving us with no major threat for the 2013 season.  In addition, models are showing real cold fronts will start arriving after the 1st week in October.  We have been stuck on 9 named storms for over 3 weeks, but  I still think we’ll see 3-4 more storms before it’s a rap Nov. 30th.   In our favor is history that shows only once has a major (Cat. 3+) hurricane crossed the LA. Coastline after October 1st (Cheniere-Caminada 1893)   Hilda was a Cat. 2 in 1964 but that’s it for major storms.   We will not need to evacuate this year and that is a good thing.  In another 6-8 weeks we’ll be turning our attention to 1st freezes.   Our summers are too long & hot, our winter’s too cold but short.  I live for Spring & Fall, especially for October the best month of them all!

Tomorrow the latest Climate Blitz will hit the media.  95% certainty climate is changing (huh?) and it’s evil man(CO2) that is causing it to warm…except the reality is the models have been over playing the warming compared to the actual real data.   As the major ocean currents are flipping to their cool CYCLE, we’ll see the Alarmists concoct reasons why the Global Warming has stopped.    Call them the Global Cooling Skeptics.  Stay tuned!
