Pacific Not Terrific

While we only have seen 4 named storms so far this Hurricane Season, the Eastern Pacific is now up to 14 with Hurricane Norbert nearing the Baja Peninsula.  As he moves farther to the north, cooler water temps will weaken the wind structure but tropical moisture will be drawn northward over southern California & Arizona this weekend.  Flooding rainfall is expected and residents already are on alert.  The Atlantic is getting more active with several waves expected to slowly develop during the next 5-7 days.  Since these waves are so far out, it’s way too soon to know if whatever forms could come into the Gulf.  So far the pattern is to turn up the east coast and not be our problem.  Stay tuned!

No real changes are expected until next week.  Keep your umbrellas handy.
