Warm Week before Winter Returns Next Week

As I gaze up into northern Canada, I see temps. 25 to 30 degrees below zero.  Burrr!   No need to worry as the East Coast trough that brings the chill down South has retreated allowing milder Pacific air to spread over the lower 48.   The trough has redeveloped off the West Coast finally bringing much needed rainfall to California.   That Pacific moisture will stream eastward in several waves with the first wave going to our north late Friday into Saturday and the second arriving here late Sunday into Monday.   Models are indicating the East Coast trough may try to reform next week and that could bring the brutal chill from the Arctic back into our neighborhood by Tuesday & Wednesday.  Before then we’ll stay very mild with daily morning fog creating travel issues.   Stay tuned.
