Sometimes You Need Patience

Often when I’m fishing, I have to remember it’s a sport of action & inaction.  When the fish are biting…Yikes, what great fun!  When they’re not…you have to have patience.   Sometimes weather works that way.   For 3 days we have been under a Flash Flood Watch calling for 3-6” of rainfall.  On Tuesday some spots received 2-3”, but Wednesday & today saw very small amounts…until tonight.   An explosion of heavy storms developed south of the LA. Coast and is moving inland.   It appears we will have 6-8 hours of soaking rainfall with widespread totals greater than 3”.  This will likely cause some brief street flooding but we are not expecting a major rain event.  Most of the storms will be gone by daybreak with drier air flowing in making for some afternoon sunny breaks.  We have not seen the sun since Sunday so the next few days will be a real treat…but we have to get thru tonight and early Friday.  Stay tuned!
