Historic Climate Agreement...Why Don't I feel better?

Unless you’ve been in a cave this weekend, you know nearly 200 nations came to an agreement to save our Planet.   They cheered, they hugged, they felt good…kind of like being at a religious revival.  But let’s review some things, like what one major paper describes  as…”the accords weak spot is it allows nations to determine their own emissions reduction plans, immune from challenges by other governments.”  Huh?   We have an agreement that limits CO2 emissions but we have no means to make sure countries comply.   Is that not stupid?   Some of these countries don’t like us.  We expect them to be honest?   But wait Lee Zurik, there’s more.  Get this…” the deal calls for “wealthy” economies…to channel at least $100 billion/year to “poor” countries to help them respond to climate change.”   But we can’t monitor their efforts (or lack of) to reduce emissions?   Does this make sense to any of you?  Why not take that $100 billion/yr and buy food & water to feed these poor nations?  Who really thinks that money will get beyond the politicians in power?  Oh, but isn’t what this is all about, POWER, MONEY & CONTROL.     Don’t you feel better already knowing where your taxes are going to go?   I didn’t think so.

We will feel better in the morning as drier air will return as a cold front pushes well to our east.  This is not an Arctic front and the cool down will not be drastic.  A stronger front arrives by late this week and we will finally feel like December.  Ahhhh, it’s good to feel better!
