Warm Spell Will end...

Wednesday will be our 11th straight day of above normal temperatures with the last 8 above 70.  A cold front will bring back December reality and the need for winter weather gear for the 1st time in nearly 2 weeks.   Some showers will develop ahead of the front and the colder air arrives in 2 surges, the 1st on Thursday with even colder air for Friday & Saturday.  A light freeze is likely for the North Shore on Saturday with upper 30s south of Lake P.  Because of brisk north winds, despite all day sunshine, highs Friday & Saturday will stay in the 50s some 20 degrees colder than tomorrow.   Get a grip, that’s what’s supposed to happen in December.  Fortunately, the cool down will be brief as a warm up begins on Sunday.  Next week looks wet but mild with no new Arctic Blasts coming for Christmas.   If you want to see the white stuff, head out to the Rockies where they have plenty of it!

In regard to those who have asked…yes I intend to continue my weather blog beyond my retirement date through the 2016 Hurricane season & possibly longer.  Stay tuned!
