Stormy Times Coming?

One thing I try to do in forecasting is see ahead of the computer guidance.  I try not to be “married” to the models as sometimes they are out to lunch when they should be at dinner.   None of the models have yet to latch on to a big east coast storm this weekend.   What I’m seeing is a trend towards phasing of the Polar Vortex and the southern Jet stream by late Saturday.  That should result in quite a snowstorm developing for areas inland along the east coast from Tennessee to New England.  Let’s see if that pans out.   The effects for us will be much colder air flowing on the backside for Sunday & Monday bringing back the heavy coats again.  Before then, we have a warm up with a chance for some showers on Thursday & maybe near 70 on Friday.  Stay tuned!
