Christmas Should be Happy...

Christmas past bring many happy memories especially remembering when my kids were young.  Watching them open the presents Santa brought was something special.  Getting back with family members who you only see once a year was also a special time.   But I'm also reminded that this could be a sad time of the year.  Just the past 10 days, 2 of my friends lost loved ones.  It's hard to be happy when that happens.  I know there never is a "good time" to die, but during the holidays is almost cruel.   I hope any of you going through such tragedy find strength through faith.  May you receive love from your family and friends to help you get past these difficult times.

Warm weather in the Winter usually means foggy nights as water temperatures have dropped into the 50s providing the cooling vehicle needed for fog formation.   We will stay warm for the next 5-7 days before an Arctic blast welcomes in the New Year.  Hard to tell if that blast will be colder than what we've had so far, but the dip in the jet stream could send us some freezing temps.  At the moment, the storm track is slamming the West Coast with much needed rainfall and lots of snow over the Rockies.  To be in Crested Butte or Vail at Christmas time is a sightseers delight.  Though we won't see a White Christmas here,  I hope yours will be a Merry one.
