No Use Complaining...

After a record warm February, our weather turned cool for much of March & April making for a terrific Spring.  Enter May and hello Summer!  We are only 16 days in and already we have set 6 new all-time highs.  If you have lived here long enough, you know the only relief we get in the summer comes from any daily bubble up T-Storms or a tropical disturbance.  Our next real cold front won’t come until usually mid to late September so that means we have 4 months of brutal heat & humidity to deal with so there is no use complaining, it is what it is and we don’t have to shovel humidity!

It appears a weak upper disturbance moving southeastward on Thursday could give us better chances for afternoon cooling showers.  I’ve been really watering my flowers and plants during this latest dry spell.  Last night’s showers only gave my yard .06”.   So far everything looks pretty healthy, but I’d rather Mother Nature bring them a good soaker.   The GFS (American Model) is at it again bringing a storm into the Gulf right over us in 14 days.  It’s done that many times in the past 2 weeks and it hasn’t been correct yet.   Stay tuned & stay cool!
