Strong Storms Later Tonight...
A well-defined upper disturbance is just north of Amarillo tonight surging warm air (70+) & Gulf moisture ahead of it with colder air wrapping around the backside. SPC (Storm Prediction Center) has posted tornado watches for Eastern OK/ Western AR with more to come. The higher chances for severe storms appears to be well north of our area, however, we could see a couple of strong cells develop after midnight. Most of the activity should be east of us after daybreak with Saturday & Sunday looking dry. The cold air arrives later Monday & it'll be back to heavy coats for Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday. A stormy pattern could develop for late next week into next weekend, but that's a long way out. All in all, this weekend will be very nice for early December as we begin Meteorological Winter (Dec, Jan. & Feb) tomorrow. Hope you have the FOX 8 weather app in case any warnings are issued overnight? Stay tuned!
