Remember Drew Bledsoe in 2001?

We all know about the SIX Super Bowl rings Tom Brady has, but do you remember how he became the starter?   Drew Bledsoe was the Patriots starting QB in 2001, but he was injured (in GAME # 2 !) on a hit to his chest that broke a blood vessel that nearly killed him.  A sixth round draft choice out of the University of Michigan stepped in and led the Patriots to the playoffs.  None of us know how serious Drew's thumb is injured, but if he can't play for many weeks, it's next man up.  Works for the Patriots, works for Nick Saban because it's the SYSTEM that matters.  Hopefully Terry Bridgewater will step up his game along with the rest of the Saints that dropped passes and made penalties.    Today's loss was a team effort as the Coach mentioned on his post game interview.  BTW, the refs didn't help either.  On to Seattle and let's see what our/this team is made of.

Clusters of T-Storms cover the northern Gulf hugging our coastline and any nudge to the north would bring a heavy rain threat over us.   NHC still says there is a slight chance (10%) for development as the upper lo becomes less defined.  We could use some rain, but we don't want any banding type rainfall.  Hopefully we'll see some clouds again on Monday that will keep us less hot.  A cold front is still on the horizon for next week.

Humberto will become a hurricane soon.  NHC still keeps him going out to sea, although several models now hint a turn back to the north later this week.  not our problem.  Stay tuned!
