Another Day Without Sunshine...

Something about cloudy days that leave me feeling low energy & SAD (Seasonal Affected Disorder).  June Gloom is a Southern California term for a weather pattern that results in cloudy, overcast skies with cool temperatures during the late spring and early summer.  Here that "gloom" happens during the Winter months when low clouds can hang around for days.

But check back over Texas where the clouds have cleared.  Houston has warmed to 70+ and those kinds of temperatures will be heading our way for Saturday through Monday.

Our next front will blow through Monday night into Tuesday with some showers and a sharp drop in temperatures.  But as I mentioned yesterday, the core of the Arctic cold (still 25-30 below in central Canada) should stay well to our north and east.

The week leading up to Christmas may see several major storms moving over the eastern 2/3 of the nation and that could affect air travel for the holidays.  Christmas here, RIGHT NOW, looks to be dry and pleasantly cool with really colder air arriving before New Year's Eve.  That's still a long way out and I'd rather focus on the next 3 days that should see some sunshine return with Spring-like temps 70+.  I'm tired of the gloom after 3 days.  As they say in Florida, "a day without orange juice is like a day without sunshine."   I'm going to fix me some orange juice with some vodka & cranberry juice & hope to start feeling better ahead of the Cher concert tonight.  I got you Babe!  Stay tuned!
