Really enjoyed watching TWC's tribute to Jim Cantore on his 25th anniversary this evening. Hope you got to see some of it? Jim has combined his passion for weather with his communicating skills to bring some flair to TWC's rather vanilla reporting of facts. His emotions serve him well. You can tell he enjoys what he does. For me, there's way too much traveling involved in his job. Congrats Jim !
Today's storms formed along the coast before daybreak and redeveloped inland during daytime heating. Besides bringing some folks heavy downpours, these storms produced a large cloud canopy that kept us much cooler during the afternoon hours. Might see a repeat for the next 3-4 days. A cluster of Storms have flaired up over the Bay of Campeche heading for the lower Mexican coast. Otherwise the tropics are quiet.
