More Storms Over Night...

After a very wet weekend (that was well predicted in advance) we could use some time to dry out.  That's not how Mother Nature works as another round of storms is racing our way tonight. Briefly heavy downpours will be accompanied by gusty winds & lots of Lightning.   Since the upper flow is no longer out of the SW, this line will not stall, but should continue offshore before daybreak.  Another weak cold front sagging southward on Wednesday may help enhance our shower chances once again before we do dry out & heat up later this week.

The Weather Channel has picked up on the MJO (Madden-Julian Oscillation) and showed it going back into the favorable mode(rising air) in the 6-10 day time frame.  Computer models over the weekend had the Hurricane Geek's hearts pounding as they brought a system into the Gulf.  Alas, today's runs magically had it disappear.   Don't give up guys.   Cheer for the MJO !  Stay tuned!
