Cold Weekend Coming...

Super Bowl is gone.  Mardi Gras is gone.  Winter is not as several cold fronts will remind us we're still in February.  The 1st front is currently moving thru that will bring back sweaters & jackets for Wed-Friday. Another stronger front sweeps thru Friday PM bringing the coldest air so far this season.  In fact, we could see freezing temps even on the South Shore for Sunday morning.  Mid to upper 20s north of Lake P. will require full protection for people, pets, plants and exposed pipes.  We'll deal with the South Shore once we see how the models handle the cold surge tomorrow, but it certainly will be quite a cool down from today's 74-78.  It'll be a heavy coat weekend but a dry one.  The active upper air pattern  will continue for the next 7-10 days bringing several snow storms along with cold waves to areas east of the Rockies.  That will change towards the end of this month with the West feeling the brunt of the cold while the SE warms up. Stay tuned!
