Weather Extremes...

Saw Dr. Masters today on TWC talking again about more weather extremes because of AGW.  This coming on the anniversary of the Blizzard of 1978.  I remember it well as I was in my final months working at WDTN-TV2 in Dayton, Ohio.  We haven't seen a storm like that since, yet no one back then talked about weather extremes.  What has changed?  The Weather?  Climate (always changing)?  How about this.  Back in 1978 we had no live capability in TV news.  No live satellite video from all over the world in a matter of seconds after any kind of disaster...and...no cell phone cameras & Facebook & Twitter.  Could that be the reason we believe there are more weather extremes?   You make the call.

A fast moving rain system will race by us tonight and leave a dry Thursday for parades.  As this storm deepens up the east coast into a major Nor'Easter, it will drag down high pressure over us keeping Friday & Saturday dry as well.  Rain chances creep back up after dark on Sunday and may linger for several days as a front stalls over us.   Things can change.  Stay tuned!
