The Battle Continues...Winter won't give up...

I'm always amazed every Spring by huge temperature contrasts fueling major storms producing heavy snows on one side and severe weather on the other.  Denver was 72 yesterday while tonight they have set a new record low of 12 degrees.  SPC places us in the "slight risk" for severe weather here on Thursday, but I believe most of the strong storms will stay well north of Lake P.   In the short term, Wednesday will be windy, warm and mostly dry with just a few passing showers.  Rain chances go up after midnight into the midday hours on Thursday with the potential of 1-3" falling with the heaviest on the North Shore.  Behind the front, drier and slightly cooler air will make for a delightful Friday & Saturday.

I learned yesterday that a former colleague of mine passed away at the age of 66.   Mike Herrera was the weekend weathercaster on Ch. 8 back in the 70s & 80s, but more importantly, he was the voice of Ch. 8.  You heard him on many commercials besides his weather duties.
