Cool Front In July ?

Yep, it sure looks to me like we’ll see drier air filter in behind a frontal boundary (not really cold at this time of the year) for the next 2-3 days.  Alarmists will claim…”see this stuff hasn’t happened before (wrong…Hurricane Alicia formed off our coast in Aug. 1983 after a front pushed offshore) or these extremes are happening more often.   Could it be that we have far more people around now than 50, 100, 150 years ago and most everyone now has a cell phone to instantly record and transmit any weather extremes?    Whatever, highs won’t be cooler behind this front but it should feel better with less humidity, especially at night. After today’s big storms, we may see a lull for the next 2 days?

 

The tropics are seeing a lull unless the remnants of Chantal reform/reorganize east of Florida.  NHC gives that a 30% chance of happening.  Regardless, if something does form, it’ll go up the east coast of Florida and into the Carolinas.  None of the computer models has anything developing during the next 10-14 days which means it’ll be August before our next storm.  Stay tuned!
