Coolest July Ever?

Here we are past the half way point of the month and so far only 5 out of 16 days have reached 90 degrees.  Dallas yesterday failed to get out of the 70s (normal is 95) yet all we hear about is the heat wave in the Northeast.  What’s up with that?   Why is it that story after story comes out day after day about heat (supposed to be hot in July!), weather extremes, drought, yada, yada, yada.   Never anything about coolness, just more about heat.  An agenda?  Nah, C’mon.  Why do they have 2 PR firms putting out these “facts” UNLESS there is an agenda?

The tropics have gone to sleep.  There is nothing that is developing tonight nor is expected to form for the next 7-10 days.  Our local weather will likely see daily showers as the main part of the upper high that is giving the East the heat will slowly shift to the West.   These showers are the reason that our highs have stayed mainly in the high 80s & that our energy bills will be far lower than last summer.
