Cristobal Soon to be Named

The visible satellite loop clearly shows a developing tropical system with what appears to be a small center near the Turks & Caicos Islands, which are the most SE islands of the Bahamas.  Another AF plane will be investigating this afternoon and I will not be surprise to see our 3rd named storm and warnings issued for parts of Florida's east coast.    AT THIS TIME, it doesn't look like it has any chance to move more westward into the Gulf, however, computer models are known to do poorly with weak tropical systems so lets continue to pay attention until we have better information regarding the future track of TD 3 or Cristobal.   For the moment we are under a protecting upper level high that is producing our hottest temps of the summer so far.   Heat advisories have been issued so use common sense if outdoors during the heat of the day.  Little relief is likely until next week.
