Get A Grip !

Ah C'mon already...just because this morning's GFS run develops a storm in the Gulf 10 days from now doesn't mean that WILL happen.   It fact, it just means something MIGHT happen.  Here's my problem.  How can you say where a storm is going when it hasn't formed yet?   We have arrived at HISTORICALLY, the most active time of the year for tropical formation.   Should we pay attention the next 4-6 weeks?  Absolutely!   Should we start ramping up the anxiety levels every time a model forms a storm 7-10 ahead of time?  I think not.   Let's get a grip on our emotions and not cry wolf every time NHC says there is a 30-40% chance for development.
