Gulf Disturbance Forming?

While NHC attention is focused on Trop. Storm Cristobal that is sdrifting slowly northward well east of Florida, our attention should focus on the Gulf this week as an upper disturbance could bring lots of rain to parts of the Gulf Coast.   Our latest VIPIR run is trying to form a TD or weak Trop. Storm south of Lake Charles by Wednesday slowly moving it northward making landfall on Friday.  IF VIPIR is correct, that places us a little too close to the heavy rain area (training) that could develop and bring 5-10"+ to parts of south Louisiana.  Nothing has formed yet so this is just a HEAD UP...PAY ATTENTION to what's in the Gulf as Cristobal doesn't appear to be our problem.   More later tonight.
