If you ever wondered about an agenda regarding AGW/Weather Extremes/Climate Change here's one for you. 3 days ago there was a report on NASA's Headline News..."Study (peer reviewed?) finds Earth's Ocean Abyss Has NOT Warmed." The report stated..."The cold waters of Earth's deep ocean have not warmed measurably since 2005...leaving unsolved the mystery of why global warming appears to have slowed in recent years." Wow! Really? NASA admitting that "global warming appears to have slowed..."(look it up on NASA's page) Ya think that would be big news for the networks? Nope, what did they cover? A report from a group of "concerned scientists" regarding sea level rising. Huh? Cover a global warming article but ignore the lack of GW? Yet we're told "the science is clear" and we must take action (more taxes) to stop it. Stop what? The cooling CYCLE we are now going into? When the government's own scientists can't agree ( remember the bogus 97% number?), who do we trust? I can hear Jack Nicholson now..."you can't handle the truth!"
What many of us find hard to handle is today's Summer-like (90 degrees) heat in the 2nd week of October. The good news is relief is coming early next week as a fairly strong cold front will bring back the good feel air (40s & 50s at night). Unfortunately, Friday, Saturday & Sunday will still be near record warmth (90-ish). Have patience my friends.
FYI, the powerful Typhoon that will move over Japan during the next 2 days is likely to buckle the jet stream over the lower 48 states 10-12 days from now. That would bring some really chilly air (30s N-Shore, 40s South) for the last 10 days of October. Sweaters...I have...well you know!

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen , Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.
Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.
Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.
