Dry Spell Should Finally End...

We did have a few showers cover about 30% of the area  last Wednesday as a cold front swept through.  However, officially at the airport in Kenner, it has now been rainless for 21 days.  Tuesday’s Election Day weather should again be dry before our best rain chances in over 3 weeks arrive late Wednesday into early Thursday. Our next cold front should trigger more widespread showers, perhaps even a rumble of thunder before slightly cooler and drier air returns for Thursday PM into Friday.   Another cold front will plow through after dark on Saturday with yet another front coming for Late next Monday into Tuesday.  Long range predictions indicate that front could really bring an unusual early season cold shot down to the Gulf South with another freeze likely for the North Shore.   Snow cover keeps increasing in Canada and Weather Bell’s forecast for a brutally cold winter for the eastern 2/3 of the U.S. appears to be taking shape.   Stay tuned!
