Record breaking Cold...More to Come

It’s truly amazing to see minus 15 to 25 degrees below zero before mid November, but that’s what they’re seeing  from Denver northward into southern Canada.  These Winter-like temperatures are coming 4-5 weeks earlier than “normal”, so I guess we should wonder…”Is this the new normal?” !!!   We will approach our record lows the next 2 mornings before a warm up comes this weekend.   Don’t get used to the 70 degree warmth on Sunday as another Arctic Blast is coming for Monday & Tuesday that will be just as cold or perhaps even colder!   Long range does appear to moderate us for Thanksgiving week which will be great news for travelers going to family for the holiday.  I should point out that the overnight rains of ½ to ¾ of an inch where the heaviest since early September.  My yard just soaked it up.  Heavy rains could return Sunday PM into early Monday ahead of our next cold front.  Stay tuned!
